Jonathan Mehrian is a world-class entrepreneur with humble beginnings. He was born and raised in Los Angeles by his single mother of two boys. From the age of five he began studying and competing in martial arts. With discipline, practice, and persistence, he became a member of the United States National Team, competing at that level for a decade, while also representing the United States for three years as a Junior Olympian, Pan American Championships and in the Israeli Olympics in 2005.  Competition and winning are at the core of his character.

Jonathan was introduced to financial services by a family member in 2006, the very night he turned eighteen, he shifted his focus from pursuing a career as an athlete in martial arts to a career in finance. He was fortunate to start with a well-known firm called World Financial Group, a Transamerica company, that would give him a chance at entrepreneurship and achieving the American dream. Within his first week, he passed his state licensing requirements to begin his new career, but Jonathan’s journey to success was not easy at first.

With no formal education or training in the world of business, economics, or finance, what kept Jonathan going was his focus, persistence and discipline of hard work, many hours of hands-on learning, and accountability. In 2010 he found what he was seeking in a business coach and mentor, and that relationship allowed him to quickly evolve and grow to achieve his first milestone of earning a six-figure income in 2011, and his career took off.

By 2012 he started to build his own agency comprised of a group of individuals from all walks of life who proudly carry the name Team Tamashi – a Japanese word for ‘indomitable spirit.’

He was inducted as one of ten Council Members for Transamerica Life Distributors, a great honor and achievement in which he served in 2014-2015 alongside executives and businessmen and women who had been in the industry for decades.  Today he serves on the President’s Council of World Financial Group helping shape the future for over 46,000 licensed agents in the company.

Today Jonathan has over 500 licensed agents in his agency all over the United States. He not only has helped hundreds of families achieve their dream of financial independence, but he continues to successfully coach and mentor individuals, who just like him, want to build a career in financial services. He is a servant leader and an advocate for training and equipping his team for success by becoming strong leaders in the industry, and continues to work tirelessly to help them achieve their dreams just as he has achieved his.
